GRAPHIC COMMUNICATIONS STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD

Applications are now available for the 2012 Graphics Student of the Year award. To be considered for this award, a student must:

• be enrolled in a VALEES graphic arts approved program
• submit an application to VALEES
• submit a resume

APPLICATION DEADLINE MARCH 21, 2012

Interview: Selected students will present their personal portfolio, as well as their design project, to a panel of graplhic design professionals who will make the determination of the Graphics Student of the Year recipient.

Applicants chosen to present their portfolio and design project will be scheduled for a 20 minute interview the evening of Tuesday,
April 17, 2012 at Waubonsee Community College.

The personal portfolio should be limited to no more than 8 pieces.

The design project will be evaluated using three major criteria:

• Design
• Production
• Presentation
