FIRE SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY

Fire Science Technology is a career pathway that provides a wide range of opportunities within the field of public safety and related science and technology field. High school programs in the VALEES region align with the Fire Science Technology program at Waubonsee Community College. The WCC program is certified by the Office of the Illinois State Fire Marshal.

VALEES member schools offering an approved Fire Science Technology program are:

  • Indian Valley Vocational Center

Emergency Medical Technician coursework at Fox Valley Career Center also aligns with Waubonsee Community College's EMT Department.

Employment in the fields of Fire Science and EMT covers a wide range of opportunities including firefighters, fire chiefs, first responders, paramedics, and careers in safety.
