AGRICULTURE / HORTICULTURE

Agriculture and Horticulture offer many challenging and interesting careers within the career cluster of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Career pathways include Agribusiness Systems, Animal Systems, Environmental Service Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, Natural Resource Systems, Plant Systems, and Power, Structural and Technical Systems.

Students also have opportunities to develop leadership skills as well as develop career skills through participation in their school's local FFA organization. The National FFA Organization provides excellent opportunities for students to learn and develop personally while interacting with students across the nation.

ARTICULATED CREDIT
College credit may be earned at Joliet Junior College or Kishwaukee College if you successfully complete VALEES courses and meet applicable requirements.

APPLICABLE DEGREES AND CERTIFICATES
Credit earned for completion of VALEES courses may be used as part of the requirements for Associate in Applied Science degree programs or to enroll in online courses offered as a part of the U. of I. ACES ACCESS program.
