VALEES is offering mini-grant opportunities for proposals that focus on CTE career and college readiness initiatives. Application were due in the VALEES office by October 14, 2011. Areas of emphasis include:
- Developing Career Pathways / Programs of Study (POS) for your school
- Integrating Common Core Standards in Career and Technical Education
- Strengthening 21st Century Employability Skills

Reports for approved mini-grants for the 2011-2012 school year are to be completed using the following forms. Some grants are funded in part or in total with FY11 regional funds. Please use the appropriate form listed below depending upon applicable fiscal year funding. Grants using FY11 funds MUST COMPLETE THE FY11 EXPENDITURE REPORT BY NOVEMBER 30, 2011.
- Grants using FY11 funds in part or in total must complete all approved expenditures of FY 11 funds and provide documentation to VALEES by NOVEMBER 30, 2011. If your grant award also includes FY12 funds, you will need to also complete the FY12 final grant report when your grant activities are completed. Download the following form and submit to VALEES either electronically (mborneman@waubonsee.edu) or via fax (630-466-9621).
- Grants usng FY12 funds are to complete the final grant report by May 11, 2012. If your grant is funded with both FY11 and FY12 funds, you will need to complete both the FY11 and FY12 report form. If you grant is funded only with FY12 funds, you only need to complete the FY12 final report form.
