VALEES STANDING COMMITTEES
Coordinating Council
The Coordinating Council is the VALEES
board of control and is comprised of nine superintendents, three from each sub-region who
meet a minimum of four times each year. All VALEES business is approved by this council.

Steering Committee
School administrators and/or vocational
directors make up the Steering Committee whose function is to make recommendations on
VALEES activities to the Coordinating Council. The committee meets approximately four
times per year.

Committee
Counselors and special populations
coordinators comprise this committee. Subcommittees include Special Populations, National
Vocational-Technical Honor Society, Education-To-Careers and Career Exploration.
Activities that assist instructors and counselors in addressing the needs of all students
are planned at this committee level. Normally four to six meetings are scheduled each
year.
