Program Description

This program offers a sequence of planned educational classroom and laboratory experiences concerned with the care and understanding of children of various ages. Students learn how to meet the safety, health and nutritional needs of children. State standards regulating care and supervision of group activities are covered. The program provides skill development by working with children during in-school laboratory or extended campus facilities. By completing this program, students gain competencies needed for successful employment or for continued education in the field of Early Childhood Development.
