So you decide. Immediately after high school graduation individuals may start an accounting career as accounting clerks general office workers. A few of the better students may start as bookkeepers. High school study in accounting is useful as preparation for these accounting positions. The study of high school accounting also is good preparation for the study of accounting in college. Almost all persons seeking positions as accountants must complete some study of accounting beyond high school and must gain accounting experience. Most professional accountants also earn the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. Course of Study
OR Students who have maintained a "B" average in high school courses B215 and B315 may proficiency out of WCC Course AC101 Financial Accounting (3 semester hours, transfer course) by passing a CLEP exam.
Applicable Degrees and Certificates Credit earned for completion of articulated courses may be used as a part of the requirements for the following certificate and degree programs a Waubonsee Community College.
